Vijaya Dashmi: Come, let’s conquer the evil

Vijaya Dashmi: Come, let’s conquer the evil
Punjabis please beware of Devils

Today is the festival of Vijay Dashmi, the day of victory of good over evil. Nobody is born a thief; neither is one faulty from birth. When the going gets tough, even the best of us start treading on the wrong path and by indulging into corruption, one fills up the coffer of his life with all the wrongdoings and sin, thereby transforming into devil. Corruption, lies, treachery, treason, forgery, disrespect for women and elders, black money, anti-social activities- when all these sins become a part of one’s life, he turns into the ten-headed Ravan. When we stay away from all these evil-doings, discharge our social duties while leading a political life, we can be called Ram bhakts in the real sense, thereby becoming the true guardians of the Ram Rajya and deserve to be called social servants. Today it’s an opportunity for all of us to take a pledge to get rid of the evil within and also from the society.
We people believe in a saying, a philosophy, a principle that instead of killing evil, just conquer it. This festival today symbolizes this principle, but with a heavy heart I would like to share with you that in the garb of truth, devils today are trying to hijack Punjab. Today
some people praise and even venerate themselves for being ‘honest’. The only motive of such people is to get into power. They will never serve the people. They claim to clean the society with a broom, but every other day their own activists/leaders accuse them of sexual
molestation, corruption, money in exchange of tickets, etc. It’s clear that these people are not cleaning the society but making it even worse. We won’t allow them to desecrate Punjab.
What is needed today is the elimination of those devil thoughts which have dishonored Shri Darbar Sahib and the holy granths. These are the villainous brains which killed innocents in Delhi and have desecrated holy books like Shri Guru Granth Sabib, Bhagwat Gita and the Quran. These are the dastardly thoughts which instigate hatred and are ready to compromise national security and integrity.  We need to be cautious of people having such knave thoughts. Today we need to kill the evil inside us and the society. We need to recognize those evil faces which are using Ram’s garb to enter our houses. I hope you will definitely
spot the evil, eradicate it and celebrate Vijay Dashmi.
Good wishes.
