Captain and Kejriwal irresponsible leaders of Punjab
- Amarinder shying away from supporting the strict action which is to be taken by Akali-BJP government
- Kejriwal hiding in this moment of crisis
Captain Amarinder Singh and Arvind Kejriwal are irresponsible leaders. Captain has been always been ignorant. Now when the BJP has taken a tough stand and is standing like a rock behind Parkash Singh Badal for the benefit of Punjab and its famers, Captain seems confused. He is unable to comprehend what he should do. Captain is shying away from supporting the strict action which is to be taken by Akali-BJP government over the SYL issue. He is refraining from discharging his constitutional duty. The Punjab Congress chief wants to contest assembly election from Patiala and hence he resigned from the Lok Sabha membership. The people are aware of his resignation politics.
Fearing defeat, Captain had fled the poll battleground during Khadoor Sahib bypoll and started grinding his own axe at the expense of rebels and the voters gave him a befitting reply by chosing Akali-BJP candidate. Similarly, regarding the SYL issue, he is ashamed of being hand in glove with the Congress, especially Indira Gandhi, and is now evading the public.
Akali Dal and the BJP have together fought the war for water in Punjab like real brothers and both have been protecting the interests of the state. On the other hand, Capt. Amarinder and his party have been trying to thwart development in Punjab. The ‘Vikas Rath’ of PM Modi and CM Badal will continue to roll unhindered.
The Akali-BJP combine had taken tough stands earlier too and will do it again. Till there is Akali-BJP government in Punjab, no drop of water won’t be spared even if we will have to make sacrifices. We will face the situation whatever it takes, unlike Captain who fled away or Kejriwal who is hiding in Delhi. By resigning, Captain is staging a political drama because his membership would have been cancelled either way as he never attended the Lok Sabha.
When Captain resigned, why did not the other Congress MPs from Punjab follow suit? Kejriwal even cancelled his visit to Punjab in this time of crisis. ‘Jehre kehnde si marange naal tere, chadd ke maidaan bhajj gaye’ (Those who said that they will die together, they fled from the battleground) – this Punjabi adage is apt for both these leaders and their parties who have always ditched Punjab.
